British police arrested 160 people after the weekend on charges of rioting and looting in the north of London.

A group of young men plundered the contents of shops, attacking police and burning vehicles are around. Approximately 35 police officers reportedly were injured in the incident.

British police will also be surprised that rising levels of violence in London. Violence broke out in the north of London, namely Tottenham on Saturday. Similarly, as reported by the Associated Press on Monday (08/08/2011).

The riots occurred after the shooting of Mark Duggan, a father of four children who were suspected as a criminal. Duggan death was multi-ethnic riots in Tottenham. Rioters targeted members of the police and set fire to police cars.

Some residents threw Molotov cocktails at police lines, while others use a baseball bat to attack the police.

Tottenham earlier also has a history of unrest. The riots in Tottenham had occurred in 1985 ago, the event is known as the Broadwater Farm riots. In these riots, many police officers are stabbed by the rioters
