TelkomVision work on Multichannel Service

Currently, TelkomVision may be known as one of cable TV providers or Pay TV (pay TV). However, entering the year 2011, the subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia was proclaimed itself as a multichannel service provider. It is marked by changes in its logo.

"TelkomVision with a face and a new spirit, strengthen its position as a multimedia company that presents not only a variety of entertainment services, but also its other services such as internet and fixed line through support from the Telkom Group," said Elvizar KH, Managing Director TelkomVision while conveying background logo changes TelkomVision in a press release recently.

A number of innovations will be launched this year. After providing the first voucher TV in Indonesia, TelkomVision now also position ourselves as a flexible subscription TV with two options prepaid and postpaid subscription. This year, the choice of entertainment packages will also be extended not only through technology-based cable and satellite, but also will launch its IPTV (Internet Protocol TV), followed by the addition of local content.

Choice satellite-based package offers prepaid and postpaid payment system with 48-90 channel to reach all parts of Indonesia using satellite Telkom 2. While cable-based package with 5 head-end (central control cable TV) in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya and Bali offers 60 channels. Completing the second option this package will offer IPTV TelkomVision which is a subscription TV services complete with interactive (VOD, Time-shift TV, etc.), ranging from 88 channels.

"In 2011, TelkomVision targeting sales growth of 90%, and total subscribers amounted to 66%," said Elvizar.
