The concept of the economic paradigm

As an example of an integrated paradigm is the core element of what is under discussion here referred to as aspects of the most complete and most difficult to understand. (Kuhn, 1970a, p 187).

Kuhn defines a paradigm, which he believed to be the central philosophical concept of the study (1970 p. 234) as follows: "the universal paradigm is a scientific achievement that can be understood that can help practitioners to solve problems faced (1970a, h.iii). Meanwhile Masterman argues that the paradigm is a 'picture' of something concrete, say A, which is used analogically to explain something else that is also concrete, say B. The paradigm is a construction that can be known; an artifact "(1970, p. 78). Based on this understanding, scientists usually produce an agreement on principles and rules together in defining a theory, applications, and instrumentation as they try to form a classic example or illustration of certain standards which serve as guidelines for scientific conduct: to be elaborated through other approaches, it is among scientists should be given instructions on how to work they must do. Strategic characteristics of the paradigm as an example is kekonretannya (concrete nature of the paradigm), which is able to answer the puzzle faced by scientists.

Like most forms of good puzzles, riddles in savings activities have a lot of pieces ... (Kontlikoff, 1988:55).

Keynes, in his book The General Theory hypothesized relationship between disposable income and consumption where consumption becomes a function of disposable income. Crosss-section data indicate that the savings ratio is very different among income groups. To complement the facts that occurred after the war, consumption proved to be very strong, despite the decline in disposable income. These results indicate that the consumption function behave differently outside the cycle that lived during the period of time. Attempts to reconcile the theory with the phenomenon of secular, cross-sectional, and this cyclic, and for connecting with one another in a consistent manner, a major concern for those who seek to develop a macroeconomic theory.
